Choosing Your Puppy's Veterinarian

It is very important to find a Veterinarian that you trust and like. Here are some points to consider when choosing a doctor for your puppy.

Word of mouth

Still the best form of advertising in my humble opinion. Ask your friends, groomers, breeders or whoever else you come into contact with who they recommend and why.

Location

Not the highest ranking consideration but it still must be factored into the equation.

Environment

Is the office and waiting area clean? Is there room to move around? Are the support staff actively involved in providing a clean and comfortable environment?

Hours of operation

Choose a clinic that has operating hours that meet your needs as closely as possible.

Emergencies

Can the Doctor or clinic staff be reached during off hours in case of an emergency? If not, what would they recommend that you do in such a circumstance?

Need help finding a someone in your area? Visit our Veterinarian List to find someone in your area.

Please feel free to submit recommendations for Clinics and Doctors that you know and trust.
